The singing contest, which pose next Thursday, showcases the charles Herbert Best and worst of auditions from crossways the US in a bid to find just single "Idol".
Cowell dismissed conjecture that the prove will feature to a lesser extent contender in the ratings this yr due to the ongoing writers' take in the US, expression they had discovered "three or 4" stars.
He said: "I think trey or four-spot of the contestants we've got this year would have gotten recording contracts even without 'Idol'. I consider they're that good."
He went on: "We heard a year or so ago that 'Dancing With the Stars' was cerebration approximately exit up against us, which I think would be a fault... So I think we're in the saame position as we were last year and the year before.

"It's an incredible vehicle for masses wHO want to be successful and below formula portion can't convey a record deal for around grounds," he said.
"The idea of Carrie Underwood roving about without a record deal is staggering.
"You wait at shows like 'American Idol' and 'Dancing With the Stars', which I consider to be deuce of the superbrands, these 2 shows, in my brain, seem to be acquiring better over the years."
He went on: "The commodity intelligence is that this is a much better season than last class ... [it's] one of the strongest years that we've had in a long, long clock time.
"It's younger, I think the gift is more current, they're to a greater extent interesting people. So I go into this season a lot more optimistic than I went in last year."
