Musically focusing towards more of a rough-textured, complex complex body part with a lyric content of self-reproach, Menduno took the sobriquet of A-Set and captured these feelings in the studio flat. Along with Joan of Arc frontman Tim Kinsella on guitar, Menduno took the pump organ, lap steel and microphone and recorded sestet songs that would in conclusion make up the EP The Science of Living. Released in 1999 on Tree Records, a rent with Sweden's Cobolt quickly followed that like class; the 7" The Blue Room arrived in 2000. |

CMJ Festival Reveals First Round Of Performers
The annual CMJ Festival has proclaimed their number 1 round of performers for their 2008 Music Marathon.
The festival will be in New York from October 21-25 in various venues around the city.
Leading the pack so far will be A Place To Bury Strangers, Beach House, Broken Social Scene, Cool Kids, Crystal Castles, Del McCoury Band, Deerhoof, Donavon Frankenreiter, Gang Gang Dance, Jay Reatard, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Lykke Li, Minus The Bear, Roisin Murphy, The Dears, They Might Be Giants, The Virgins and Yo Majesty, with additional acts to be announced.
